The UFO part of reddit is slowly convincing itself that MH370 was zapped out of existence by UFOs somewhere over the SIO. It's only a matter of time before this forum is overrun. Recommend the mods step up, because some of the most useful contemporaneous information about MH370 over the last decade can get drowned out by this UFO stuff.

That action is still allowed and Boeing still refuses to change that, which starts to explain some of the industry reasons for defensiveness and denial that the pilot did it.

Presumably in those societies, the correct thing to do is to move forward without a need to accept a culturally unacceptable accident cause.
