MHA advocates for policies that improve health and health care in the state, and provides data, decision-support tools and operational resources to help hospitals and health systems deliver care.

Since its creation in 1922, MHA has grown from 50 to 137 member hospitals. As a nonprofit membership association, MHA represents every acute care hospital in the state, as well as most of the federal and state hospitals and rehabilitation and psychiatric care facilities.

Led by its president and senior vice presidents, MHA staff helps shape policy and forge a strong, vital health care climate. MHA’s goal is to create an environment that enables our members to improve the health of their patients, organization and community.
