2016年2月3日 · Former MK6 GTI owner here. Considering coming back to VW. I read that the MK7 responds to tunes even better than the MK6, and am curious about the 0-60 stats for the GTI, from Stock to Stage 2 (and 3 [IS38]...if there is even a tune for that yet?) I would also like stats for the R for Stg 1 and Stg 2

The mk6 GTI struts are 54.5mm I believe. Would there be any complications in swapping the whole set up between the two cars? So the mk6 spindle and hub onto the R, and the R's spindel and hub (along with whole brake set up) onto the mk6 GTI? I realise theres a .5mm difference in strut size but not sure that would really be an issue.

2020年2月18日 · The Mk6 in my avatar was on B6 and stock springs, however i also had stiffer LCA bushings and bigger sways (26/24) so can't really comment on stock feel. Seemed pretty bulletproof and it's nice not having to drive carefully as with a lowered car

2017年6月30日 · i recommend the phillips xtreme +130 bulbs or the osram nightbreakers both in 55w h7 variety. i've heard you can also track down 65w osram nightbreaker h7 and those are quite good from the mk5 and mk6 days.

2020年8月19日 · My main gripe about my GTI is that, being an Mk6, I don't have a LSD. So on the 2-4 days/year that I'm on the track, it's not the best. I spin the inside front tires on the street all the time as well. I believe either 7.5 GTI or Golf R has LSDs. Maybe if the on track driving is more enjoyable with an LSD GTI or Golf R, I would do it more often.

2021年4月30日 · Does anyone have experience with either Wavetrac or Peloquin or any other LSD in a GTI? I am looking for recommendations. How difficult is the install? Also, is it just an install-and-forget matter or would I need to play with the car computer?
