2011年5月3日 · First off the temp outside when i did this test was around 70, what i found is that the air intake temp with the CAI on was around 110 to 120 in normal traffic when the engine was at normal operating temp. When i put the stock air box back on with a drop in K&N filter there was a major drop in air intake temp!

2019年10月26日 · The general consensus is that the stock intake flows well for an NA car and even though an aftermarket CAI may move more air, the increase in IAT’s negates the gains. However, I’ve seen several dyno claims that showed a peak 12-15hp or so with just a CAI, no tune. Curious about this as well.

2005年7月23日 · MMR claims you do not need a special tune to use their CAI. I'm running a SCT 93 Octane tune so I'm not running a stock... but I don't think that would matter.

2015年3月19日 · COBB has done testing on multiple CAI systems and stated that the ones they tested showed no performance gains and in some instances performance loss. They did not name manufacturers tested but stated that the stock system is one of the best they have seen. Your "sluggish" feel could be an example of that.

2002年8月16日 · I run a Pro-M 77MM with power stack filter, homemade straight shot with meter in the fender. It made 6HP/8TQ over a the bullet MAC CAI. Re-routing air especially 90 degree bends in front of the meter will usually make less power. I've done testing on the dyno with 4 homemades, MAC CAI and March Ram Air.
