The McLaren MP4/5, and its derived sister model, the MP4/5B, were highly successful Formula One racing cars designed by the McLaren Formula One team based in Woking, England, and powered by Honda's naturally-aspirated RA109E and RA100E V10 engines respectively.

The championship winning McLaren MP4/5B was closely designed around Ayrton Senna and new team-mate Gerhard Berger in 1990.

As its name suggests, the MP4/5B is the evolution of the previous year’s MP4/5, but its appearance gives the impression of a major departure from its predecessor. Aerodynamic improvements are particularly noticeable, mainly in the changes to the aerodynamic devices. The side pontoons are flatter and the heat outlets have been improved.
