Part B of the intercollegiate MRCS is an objective structured clinical exam (OSCE). It tests anatomy and surgical pathology, applied surgical science and critical care, clinical, procedural and communication skills.

MRCS Part B (OSCE) is held three times per year, in Dublin (February, May, and October); twice per year in Bahrain (March and November); twice per year in Penang (January and August); and twice a year in Cairo, Egypt (April and September).

The Intercollegiate MRCS Part B (OSCE) integrates basic surgical scientific knowledge and its application to clinical surgery. Its purpose is to build on the test of knowledge in Part A and assess how this is applied in clinically appropriate contexts.
Intercollegiate MRCS (ENT) OSCE - Royal College of Surgeons
The MRCS (ENT) OSCE is an objective structured clinical examination (OSCE), held over two days. The 'written stations' are delivered via online remote examination and the 'clinical stations' are delivered in person. The MRCS (ENT) OSCE exam forms the second part of the examination pathway leading to the award of the Intercollegiate MRCS (ENT).
