2006年11月4日 · 1. If you don't like MSAR mags, you can use AUG mags in MSAR's fourth-generation STG-556 (i.e., any STG-556 without the Forward Assist). I have tried this myself. 2. If you want to use AR-15 mags and you own an AUG the $300 Steyr NATO conversion kit from CDNN is a good option.

2023年3月6日 · I've got two MSAR rifles - one is a green E4 that uses AR mags with railed receiver and has a 16" barrel, the other is a black STG556 Gen 4 that has a built in optic, a 20" barrel and uses AUG mags. I had MSAR's previously, but sold them years ago and recently re-acquired a couple of them.

2008年10月10日 · Additional info to add to this thread: According to MSAR, the MSAR M-16 magazine compatible stock will be available soon, slickside in black and then OD grgeen. Rifles will continue to come with the GEN IV slickside, and the M-16 mag stock ("NATO" stock) will be offered as an aftermarket OEM accessory.

There is significant but far from complete parts commonality or interchangeability between the MSAR and the AUG. This is especially true on the Gen 4 MSAR rifles. In the picture you can see that on this msar rifle I am using an AUG charging handle, trigger, and safety. My next project will be to see if I can use an ARID trigger and safety.
