My priority was to lower the TGP and temperature. The UV didn't do much: 303V and the card at 73°C with fans at 45%. The MSI 3080 Trio runs hotter than the other cards and I have a Fractal Design where the Airflow ain't the best.

2020年12月4日 · I'm checking also the "MSI Live Update" for some updates (nothing) and for the new Nvidia drivers (now I have 465.89v). Also, Nvidia support info is "If you have a custom partner card, get the update tool from their site". On official MSI site, in downloads for 3080 Trio is a fresh update for VBIOS, but not for Suprim X.

2021年6月6日 · Yes, this card realy hot, idk if MSI release low temp bios, but even at 75% fan speed temps are higher than others 3080 ti's. P.S Yes, perhaps replacing the thermal paste will improve the situation, but I don't want to disassemble the card and lose the warranty

2020年11月26日 · My task is gain perfomance at 250W (as my old MSI 2080 SUPER) same as stock at 340W. I've already done it. This chip is very reliable, so I'll try to put voltage down again and again. Now it works full stable. UPD: 1. My suggestions about temperature threshold (fan stop/run) was not exact. This temperatures is not strict.

2145 MHz is the highest I got while still being stable in 3DMark on Port Royal with an average around 1970 MHz. That was with a +100 clock (+300 memory). Score was 11,766. MSI Ventus 3080. IMO it’s totally unnecessary to overclock these cards. You’re already at the ceiling in almost any game out of the box.

MSI 3080 LHR I got really low temp readings with fans at 80% - around 60° at 950 mV, and around 50° at 875mV So far I got the highest scores in timeSpy on 875mV - 18207 graphics score, stock was 18000 850 mV and 900mV produced worse results. I set it as 875mV at 1880, but it was bouncing between 1890 and 1905 in benchmark.

2020年9月23日 · I just want to report that I also have this problem. MSI Gaming X Trio 3080. I've narrowed it down and a -10MHz clock adjustment in Afterburner solves it for me. This only happens when the card boosts above about 2010MHz. It's a brand new PC build, Corsair AX1000 Titanium PSU, 2x dedicated PCIE power cables with the second being single cable 2x 8.
