To be perfectly frank, I think the underlying concerns of MVC hold true for any MVP implementation and the differences are almost entirely semantic.

In MVC, the Controller manipulates the view, taking care of how to render in the view parts of the user actions and model. That means that the Controller and View have 'tight coupling'.

Jan 18, 2013 · @nawfal: Having presenter and view in one project still allows you to unit test the presenter independently of the view which is the whole point of MVP. The view interfaces and presenters should be organized in folders anyway so refactoring out to a separate project when needed (e.g. changing view engines) wouldn't be that difficult.

In either pattern the Model can't depend on any other components. 'Has references' only to Observer objects. It doesn't care if those observers are views, controllers or other models. MVC is the most misquoted design pattern and lacks a real definition. I'm going to use the one published by Martin Fowler.
