MXR M80 Bass DI+ review - TalkBass.com
2011年6月20日 · All of which led me to the MXR M80. Small footprint, reasonable price, reliable brand, good overdrive sound and a quality DI. Put simply, it's the best bang for the buck if you're looking for a solid DI with an EQ and a distortion channel. It's got a three knob EQ section, a scooped "color" button and a distortion effect.
Mxr m80 di+ vs. tech 21 sans amp - TalkBass.com
2007年7月22日 · The MXR has a much harsher distortion while the Sansamp has a warmer overdriven tone. Personally, I love the sound of the Sansamp BDDI but the MXR has two seperate channels to switch between clean and distorted tones (which appealed more to me) while the BDDI is restricted to one tone on one channel.
MXR M80 vs M81 - TalkBass.com
2016年8月8日 · The drive section on the M80's only major flaw is the huge mid scoop. For some reason, MXR decided that this couldn't be bypassed (the manual gives the explanation that the Color switch is always-on for the drive section) despite it being optional for the clean section.
MXR M80/M81 - TalkBass.com
2006年8月29日 · A few years back I bought the M80 over the BDDI because 1. I thought it sounded better on the clean channel with various EQ options and 2. It had a mid control. Also, I use od/distortion sparingly, I prefer the amp to give a bit of grit and that's it. Now the M81 has come out and it's been...
Mxr m-80, help with settings and distortion alternative pedal
2015年7月15日 · Just FYI, the m81 preamp is very transparent relative to the m80, which even without the color switch has a touch of slightly scooped modern flavor. You can most definitely make that happen with the m81, it just won't sound like that out of the box. As for the distortion, you might check out the MXR Bass Distortion.
MXR M-80 DI vs Ampeg SCR DI - TalkBass.com
2018年8月16日 · I've owned the MXR M80 for about 10 years now. I've play it through a Gallien Krueger 400 RB-IV amp head in a 4x10" and 1X15" cab set up. It sounds, great. I don't even use the active EQ on my amp control, the M80s eq sounds better IMO. I don't engage the "color" switch on it because I don't care for a scooped tone, but you may find it useful.
MXR M80 VS RADIAL DI - TalkBass.com
2014年6月12日 · But the Radial does not have the versatility of tone shaping that the M80 has. With the M80, it's very easy to overdo its distortion characteristics. For that reason I prefer the new M81 Bass Preamp pedal. It has great tone-shaping controls, and it's not as touchy as the M80 when adding drive to the sound.

Does the MXR M80 DI+ need a cab sim? - TalkBass.com
2016年12月5日 · I've been using my M80 DI straight to house and to my amp simultaneously. At church I go straight in, no amp. For my Motown band, I DI and use my amp. In both applications, it works well. I don't feel I need an amp simulator since …
