Mississippi Academic Assessment Program (MAAP)
The Mississippi Academic Assessment Program (MAAP) is designed to measure student achievement in English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, and US History. Students are assessed in grades 3 through 8 in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics, grades 5 and 8 Science, Algebra I, Biology I, English II, and US History.
Key Findings: Overall 2021 MAAP Assessment Results • For 2021, the overall participation rate for Mathematics, ELA, Science, and U.S. History was 91.7%. State and federal policy require a participation rate of 95% or higher; however, ED waived participation requirements for the 2020 – 2021 school year.
