Macabre is an American extreme metal band from Chicago. [1] Since their formation in 1985, the band has featured the same three members with no lineup changes. The group's style blends thrash metal, death metal, and grindcore (sometimes with nursery rhymes and folk melodies).

American Death/Grind unit Macabre was formed in 1985 by Nefarious (bass, vocals), Corporate Death (guitar, vocals) and Dennis the Menace (drums) in Chicago, Illinois. In 1987, they released a mini-LP titled "Grim Reality" on their own label Decomposed Records and the following year they released their first and only demo "Shitlist".
