2018年10月24日 · The inbuilt VPN protocols (IPSec, IKEv2) are for connection to enterprise VPN servers. This enables the local Mac/PC to make network connection within the enterprise internal network. Most 'Consumer/personal' VPN services use Wireguard or OpenVPN protocols and require the provider's VPN client app.

2023年10月2日 · Setting lifetime=20m (or something else less than 24m) under the VPN proposal fixed it for me. I last used the VPN for over an hour without any issues. I haven't used Apple Configurator to modify settings on my iOS/macOS devices (running iOS 17.1.1 and macOS 14.1.1 Sonoma), so the VPN settings on the clients are the defaults that Apple sets.

2020年5月8日 · Until macOS Sequoia, when I clicked on the VPN icon in the menu bar to connect a VPN, a small window would open, about the size of the window that appears when you click on the VPN icon in the menu bar and the VPN is connected. Now when you click on the VPN icon in the menu bar to connect a VPN, a huge window appears.

2013年7月27日 · Unfortunately the bug is still present in later macOS 14 betas and the release candidate. We have evaluated whether we can patch our VPN app in such a way that it works and keeps users secure in macOS 14. But unfortunately there is no good solution, as far as we can tell. We believe the firewall bugs must be fixed by Apple.

2024年1月5日 · I have an IKEv2 VPN set up on my MacBook Pro (please see my sig). After between 10 to 20 minutes of use, it will disconnect. This has happened at least 20 times since I set it up 3 weeks ago.

2020年4月24日 · The native VPN client in macOS doesn't support OpenVPN's protocol, and it has no way of communicating in that tongue. If it could, it would appear as one of the choices in the pop up at 0:44 in the video. The fact that it can understand other VPN protocols is irrelevant, and of no use to the OP.

2012年6月16日 · 1. Lobby Apple to add DNS specification capability to iOS' VPN client (as they have in macOS' VPN client); OR 2. Search an Install an iOS VPN client that does have the ability to specify a DNS server (as per macOS' VPN client). Comments / thoughts / suggestions, especially for an iOS VPN client with DNS specification capabilities. Thanks.

2022年3月31日 · Whenever I connect to my VPN, Safari does not load websites, it is just endlessly loading, and the progress bar stops at 1/4 the way. Other apps that use the Internet has the same issue. I've tried reinstalling the configurations and the VPN app, but nothing has worked. My other Mac works just fine.
