2021年3月22日 · Unfortunently, Maelstrom Wanderer sits in a place just outside of cedh. He's too slow and clunky to beat the dedicated combo decks with any consistency. And, he's too cutthroat for casual. As long as you understand this Maelstrom is fun to play.

2020年8月25日 · Maelstrom Wanderer has been my flagship edh deck for nearly a long, and I see a lot of similarities between our lists, except I feel mine is generally greedier. I usually have great successes with it and love using it as my ace in the hole deck when I'm table archenemy.

2019年10月13日 · Maelstrom Wanderer is a very open-ended commander, so there are plenty of cards in recent sets that you could toss into the deck. I think that the most wanderer-themed card that's come out in the past year is probably [[Throes of Chaos]] from Modern Horizons. Repeatedly cascading is what Maelstrom Wanderer is all about.

2016年4月22日 · Cast Maelstrom Wanderer with your infinite mana, all your stuff now has haste. Pair Deadeye to Tyrant of Discord, blow up all of everybody else's stuff, and swing for game. I prefer this method, because every single creature that's used in this combo is totally valid on it's own with Maelstom Wanderer.

So far the games I’ve won with it all felt like I was spinning wheels for a while without any clear path to winning other than cheating lots of big stuff into play. 2015年1月7日 · Spelljack is a counter spell that can be ran without worrying about countering Wanderer. A magical Christmas land hand will let you get a turn 2 Wander. Forest, Explore, island, Sol Ring, Mana Vault on turn one. Then Mountain into Wanderer on turn two. I love Maelstrom Wanderer, I can post my list later if you want some more ideas. Good luck :)

Removal - Some major drawbacks in Maelstrom Wanderer is it requires to be cast in order to get the benefit. With cards like [[Grafdigger's Cage]] and [[Drannith Magistrate]] , it gets shut down immediately, and the deck currently doesn't have easy ways of removing these threats.
