Maybe you could elaborate on the sound characteristics you hear in Focal vs Magico and why someone would prefer one over the other? How about the Scala EVO vs A5 which would be closer regarding the price points.

2020年9月15日 · I am extremely impressed with the sound produced by the Magico A5 speakers. The midrange is excellent and an improvement over the A3, the bass is tight, clean, and sounds effortless like a well-integrated high-quality subwoofer, and the soundstage was wonderful. At ~$20k the A5s are a very, very attractive value proposition.

2019年11月27日 · The A5 indeed does appear to have a rough Impedance curve but I suspect its not as bad as the S3's curve is. At least as far as my S3 MKI's are concerned. I'm not sure if they (Magico) improved this behavior for the MKII S3's but it appears according to the last Stereophile review of the S5 MKII's they seemed fairly easy to drive by comparison.

2023年6月28日 · I purchased my Magico A5 speakers nearly 2 years ago and could not be happier with them. To put it simply, they reproduce music that can sound amazingly like live music. Everyone who has heard these speakers is impressed. Build quality is second to none, also, they look great. I have no plans to ever replace/upgrade these speakers, I am there.

2023年4月7日 · They were also helpful in determining whether introducing the Magico A5s (to replace Revel Studio2s) would be suitable. I had concerns regarding impedance loads at certain frequencies. It took about a week, but they closed the loop with Luxman engineers in Japan *and* with Magico. Green light. Frankly, I thought the Luxy US guys were excellent.

2019年11月27日 · A Magico dealer would have explained these mentioned points to set the proper expectations. In this case I am not sure who this pair of A5's was purchased from. It APPEARS that it was NOT from an authorized Magico dealer, if they were new or used and lastly working properly or not.

Alon/Magico put the "goodies" realized from M9 development, into the A5, although at a different level of course than what is in the M9, but still of the same pedigree.
