One day of set up and the result was exceptional- low or no mid bass coloration. Huge open stage, no fatigue. I came back to my listening studio that afternoon(MBL101Es) and was wanting for the Magico's.

Even if there were many people and it was a "show" listening (no dealer will let me try them at my home), I was very very impressed. 2014年1月6日 · However, I'm a big fan of both Pass and Magico. As you, I love Pass class A amps and have owned the Aleph 3, 5, 2, the XA160, the XA100.5 and now the XA160.5. The XA.5 is clearly better than the previous models. I also own Magico speakers, the Mini2. The XA160.5/XP-20/Mini2 is an excellent combination in my smaller room.

I haven't heard his system, but he has a lot of exposure to Magico speakers and thinks they work well with Pass amps. 2009年12月10日 · I'm not criticising Magico for their marketing strategy in releasing a speaker 30k below their top model, and then being able to 'market' them as superb value with the claim that 'trickle-down' technology delivers 95% of the sound of the M5. (This is purely an example, by the way - I don't know how Magico are positioning the Q5 in the market.)

2012年1月15日 · I own TAD R1 now, and before buying them I listend to Magico Q5, TAD CR1 among many other highLy regarded. The speakers I replaced were B&W 800 Di. (so not biased towards any of them anymore), and actually felt the 800s could clearly be improvedi to be in line with rest of my system. So not saying B&W is the best out there... At all. BUT,

2013年2月4日 · I have a fair amount of experience with Magico speakers - having owned the Magico M5 for about 3 years and having done extensive listening to the Magico Q3 and to a lesser extent the Magico Q5. From what I have heard with 2 different Q3 setups, is that the Q3 can sound a little lean in the lower midrange and upper midbass frequencies.
