- Mako 20' The deck on my boat (1975) has several soft spots and spider cracks and needs to be replaced. I'm putting a new fuel tank in so I figure I might as well work this in to the project while I'm at it.

My dad wanted to restore a 1973 Mako 20'. So we did, I run a fiberglass shop here in Va Beach area we completed this job in between other work. 2012年3月9日 · I had a 1980 Mako 25 center console for almost 20 years. Great boat, no major problems, rode well, peformed fine with a single 225 Johnson 2-stroke. Had to rewire it, deal with a few bottom blisters, some of the teak locker lids decomposed, bow rail became wobbly, but fuel tank OK, no fiberglass problems. Low maintenance, low price, high fun.

2006年3月19日 · I wanted to move up from a small bay boat to one that could go offshore and bought an 1987 Mako 20' with 1976 175 hp Johnson at end of 2004. I've been 25 miles offshore and love the boat. I pick my days, 3' or less seas. No issues with the boat or motor. If I had it to do again I would go for the 21' Mako since I've heard the ride is much smoother.

2016年8月14日 · 1979 Mako 20 that has just been completely restored. The motor: 2013 yamaha f-115 4 stroke with 96hrs (will change with use) under warranty until 2019! 25 hr service completed along with an oil change at approximately 75 hrs although not necessary.

First, Mako's and SeaCrafts are built differently. Makos are two-part construction with no toe-kick and SeaCrafts are three-part. A 22' Mako from the early 80's (the model is a 224 which is what I have) has 19 degrees of deadrise and a large cockpit for fishing. The livewell is in the deck, about 20-25gal if I recall.
