2016年11月28日 · Yabut Linux CNC is only one link in the chain, so whether a guy decides to pick it or not, you still have all the connections to make, a way for those connections to talk to a PC which has to be bought as well, maybe breakout boards here & there for tidyness, and work out some logic level power for signals.

2016年12月5日 · The amount of flat out wrong information I have read here over the years about cnc is unbelievable, for machining info its great, cnc retrofits not so much. Neither Mach nor Linuxcnc are anywhere near being in beta test stages, both are well proven products with thousands of successful users.

2016年12月4日 · For those that think a pretty mach3 like screenset is a important quality for a machine tool, they wouldn't like some of the finest cnc machinery on the market either. Its like a person with no machining experience what so ever buying a new monarch 10EE and complaining the next day they cannot make good parts.

That being said, Masso seems like a nice, standardized "black box". On the surface, it seems to keep most the things I like about Mach3. And it seems to eliminate piecing things together, trying to make softwares work together.

I'm fixing to pull the trigger on a Masso controller.It checks the most yes boxes for me,it's more expensive than Acorn,but free upgrades,no licensing,no computer needed,no crappy Mach anything.Supports touch screen,pendant,probing,spindle control,etc,etc without globing a bunch of boards together.

I am a hobby and I passionate CNC. I have a DDLM v1 DDREAM. With mach3, she works with glitches, so using it with him is not realistic. I started the program DrufelCNC and all the glitches disappeared.
