Extension and further development of algebra, with an emphasis on functions - including linear, quadratic, rational, radical, exponential and logarithmic. Other topics include function transformations, regression analysis, inequalities, absolute values, systems of equations, matrices, sequences, and series.

Students will use numeric, graphic, and symbolic (analytic) operations and mathematical expressions (including matrices, and both linear and nonlinear systems of equations) to create mathematical models and solve equations and inequalities, selecting and using appropriate operations and technologies.

College level algebra, including equations, functions, matrices, inequalities, sequences and series, and fundamental algebra theorems will be studied. Prerequisite (s): MAT 97 (Recommended) or placement. General Education: Mathematics.
