U-turns are also much easier and possible with the max coupler. I'm all for relatively inexpensive items giving you an edge that you wouldn't have with standard products.

2020年12月1日 · I don't use a Max Coupler but the issue applies to other types of couplers as well. My coupler assembly and chains are attached to the trailer using 2 hitch pins. I remove the whole assembly, including chains, and just lock it all inside the trailer. Even without a coupler of any kind a thief could still pull your trailer away using just the ...
Anyone ditched a Max Coupler in favor of a pintle?

2017年10月23日 · I purchased my Max Coupler in April of 09 from AT and put many thousands of miles on it. It was one of the original series and I used it until 2016. At that point the shaft on the trailer end, even with frequent greasing, became so sloppy, I felt it unsafe to use.
Pintle vs Lock&Roll vs Max Coupler | Expedition Portal
2011年10月24日 · the Lock-n-roll and Max coupler will be much tighter/ predictable than the pintle system. After doing a little research I will probably be going with the Max coupler on my trailer. The Lock-N-Roll works great in 99% of the situations but there have been a few that can/will cause the joint to bind.
