While not a formal property in the Unicode Standard, many pairs of characters can be thought of as representing “black” (i.e. solid/filled) and “white” (i.e. hollow/outlined) versions of the same basic symbol.

2017年8月22日 · The Medium wordmark in black and white. The wordmark can be used on top of images or colorful backgrounds. Ensure that there is adequate contrast and that the Medium wordmark is legible, with minimal interference from the subject matter of the image.

Our logo should always be all black, all white, or white symbol with black wordmark and vice versa. It never takes on any additional colors, but may be placed on top of any color within the Medium brand palette with the exception of placing a white logo on top of yellow or any of the light colors within the palette.

Medium black circle (⚫︎) is the one that most closely resembles a Markdown bullet. However, since it gets converted to an emoji on macOS, I would use the Z notation spot (⦁) instead. When I look at these on a Web page as bullet points, each is either too small or too large.
