Mei-Ling Zhou (周美齡/Zhōu Měilíng) was an innovative member of Overwatch 's ecological studies whose technology was used around Asia for climate preservation. She was assigned to work with other scientists Watchpoint: Antarctica when a polar storm cut off their communications and left them stranded.

Mei is a climatologist who has taken the fight to preserve the environment and protect the world into her own hands. Mei travels to remote regions around the world, investigating ecopoints abandoned since Overwatch was shut down. 2025年2月19日 · Even with OW1 Mei wall HP it rarely stayed up the entire length of it’s activation. Compare that to her last 2 perk upgrades of Cryo doing damage + slowing and icicle slowing enemy movement. Both these abilities have clear benefits and buff her in different situations so there is actually a reason to pick one over the other.

2022年1月9日 · Imo mei’s looks significantly better than what happened to torb’s, but I do prefer a bit of the charm OW1 design has. Seems like as a whole the ow2 designs, for the weapons at least, are aiming for more rounder and a softer look.

I used to play a ton of Mei in OW1 and still kinda play her in OW2. She's insanely good at defending chokepoints like Eichenwald and can hold objectives very well to slow down the game.

2022年11月16日 · I found OW1 Mei to just be more fun/unique. The made her more "same-y", and reduced her utility in order to just make her have more damage so she plays closer to how other DPS heroes work. Really seems to be a theme for the OW2 reworks: characters becoming less unique, and more constrained to their assigned role.
