I became an environmental educator at a local nature preservation here in Michigan. I began designing and implementing nature-based curriculum along with wilderness survival courses. When I received a call from Discovery Channel to do "Naked and Afraid", I kicked my training into gear. I am completely self-taught in wilderness survival.
