Metsä Fibre is a leading producer of wood-based bioproducts, such as pulp, sawn timber, biochemicals and bioenergy. We produce pulp and bioproducts at four mills and sawn timber products at four sawmills in Finland. Our products are known for their high quality, which is based on the unique characteristics of Nordic wood.

Metsä Fibre provides the sustainable and renewable pulp raw materials that help them reach these sustainability targets. The traceable Nordic wood we use comes from sustainably managed forests, and our new pulp mills are the most efficient in the world.

Metsä Fibre rakensi biotuotetehtaan Kemiin ja mäntysahan Raumalle. Saha valmistui vuonna 2022 ja biotuotetehdas vuonna 2023. Yhtiö on maailman suurin markkinahavusellun toimittaja, jonka sellutehtaiden kapasiteetti on 3,25 miljoonaa tonnia valkaistua sellua vuodessa.

2022年5月23日 · Developed in close cooperation with Metsä Fibre, the largest cooperative forestry association in Europe, the biomethanol refinery will be based on Veolia’s innovative industrial-scale concept of commercial bioproduct-derived bio-methanol production, which safely integrates the refining of crude methanol into the pulp production process.

2025年2月26日 · Kuura textile fiber is a new product developed by Metsä Group, in which Finnish wood is converted into a unique textile fiber with high added value — without fossil fuels. Such textile fibres can be used to make both clothing and a variety of technical textiles.

Our bioproduct mill in Kemi is the most efficient wood processing plant in northern hemisphere. The Kemi bioproduct mill is the frontrunner in material, environmental and energy efficiency. It does not use any fossil fuels at all. Read more.
