Awarded for six months (minimum of 170 days) cumulative service between 25 April 1982 to present. The medal is a circular, bronze alloy 1.37 inches (35 mm) in diameter: on the obverse, inside a circle, a stylized dove of peace with an olive branch.

The Multinational Force & Observers Medal is awarded to members of the Armed Forces of the United States (and to civilian employees of the Department of Defense) who serve with the Multinational force and Observers for at least 90 cumulative days.
