For as few models of MGA as were made, there certainly were a lot of color combinations. There were five to eight body colors in any production model, and the colors changed occasionally. There could be two or three interior colors for any exterior color, and seats may have either complimentary or contrasting piping.

There is no such thing as an MGA in original factory paint that is not faded with time. Also colors of sample chips can vary widely between different computer monitors. You can start with various manufacturer's' color codes above. If you visit an automotive paint supply shop you may find some print copy of color chips for these codes.

2010年6月26日 · There are so many shades of red of which I am seeking for the best red to be used on my MGA. I am open to the best shade of red, not necessary the original MG red. The body shop plans to use Valsper paint type. Paint code can be in ppg paint code or ideally in Valpers paint code.

2010年4月5日 · Red and white were by far the most popular colours when the cars were produced and remain so today. One thing to think about is that dark colours provide much more reflection than light ones. That means that dark colours will highlight every defect in the body and paint, however if the paint work is excellent, dark colours will show that off best!

2013年1月23日 · White colors cover quite a range from almost yellow to white to blue. The colors listed are White 959.4, black 45.1 and Ocher (see below) 43.0. Sounds like a perfect OEW to me.
