2022年10月13日 · An MHTML file is a web page archive format. It is meant to be stored and viewed but not to be edited directly. However, you can easily extract the MHTML file to a regular HTML document (with linked files), edit it with your favorite HTML editor and then export it back to an MHTML archive (including the linked files).

2016年5月12日 · I opened the .mhtml from this page in a text editor (notepad++), the HTML appears to be in the file, intact. You have to scroll way down past all the CSS. I would just create something to extract the HTML text from within the file rather than deal with the base64 data (too confusing for me if something doesn't work right).

munpack filename.mhtml then append jpg extension to all generated files so Windows Explorer gives you a preview to see which files are images. PS: Since munpack outputs the MIME-Types of each file line by line to stdout one could write a script that appends the correct file extensions after the munpack-process.

And I have not found any way to save a webpage as .mhtml using Firefox (otherwise I obviously would not have asked the question), so the second half of your question does not apply, because I didn't find any method to "attempt". –
