The MI 09 (French: Matériel d'Interconnexion de 2009, English: interconnection rolling stock of 2009) is a double-deck, dual-voltage electric multiple unit trainset that is operated on line A of the Réseau Express Régional (RER), a hybrid suburban commuter and rapid transit system serving Paris and its Île-de-France suburbs.

Le MI 09 (matériel d'interconnexion commandé en 2009) est un matériel automoteur à deux niveaux de type X'Trapolis Duplex, dérivé du MI 2N Altéo, que la Régie autonome des transports parisiens (RATP) a commandé en 2009 pour remplacer les MI 84 sur la ligne A du réseau express régional d'Île-de-France (RER).

2015年7月20日 · MI09 is a five-car, double-decker commuter train operating on the RER A line in Paris, the busiest regional line in Europe. The 100th train in the series was delivered in July 2015, and 40 more trains are expected to be delivered before the end of 2017.

RER A線にのみ投入されているMI09, Z8100型の車内の様子や設備について確認して頂けます。 MI09が導入される前の2008年のRER A線では遅延が常態化しており、 10年後には乗客数が30%増加すると想定されていました。 なので、既存車両のMS61・MI84型の置き換え、混雑に対応するために導入されました。 2009年に最初の1編成が導入され、2010年の終わりまでテスト走行が実施されました。

On Monday 5th December, Nicolas Sarkozy travelled on one of the new MI09 trainsets built by Alstom and Bombardier for the RER A regional express line. The 110 metres train is composed of five cars, each with three wide doors on each side to optimise passenger flow in stations.
