Mikey Way is the bassist for My Chemical Romance and the younger brother of Gerard Way. He joined the band in 2001, and his bass playing became an integral part of MCR’s rhythm section, providing a solid backbone for their energetic and emotional sound.

MCR has saved my life multiple times. I've had 3 or 4 occasions where I was extremely close to killing myself, but listening to MCR stopped me. I also adore the band in general, but Gerard is definitely my favorite. I remember seeing a clip recently of Gerard saying "It's never worth it to kill yourself. You are loved."
