2020年12月21日 · Yes, that is exactly what Alt says in the Pacifica quest. Something along the lines of "your soul will be dead and everything will change". In the Nomad and Afterlife endings, jacking into Mikoshi has Alt kill V. The only ending where V isn't soulkilled is the Arasaka ending unless you choose to join the SYS program.

This leads me to believe that V survives mikoshi, and the mechanism that Mikoshi uses digitizes a conscious, not destroys it. Anything digital can be copied, and that doesn’t mean that the copy is soulless, it means that the copy is a new soul, answering the question of whether or not an engram can be reincarnated posed by the monks.
