Our Village was founded in 1853 and named after the “abounding of minerals” near the original town site. We are located on State Route 800 at the Northwest edge Tuscarawas County, Ohio. Our village is home to several businesses including Steineck’s Donuts and Cakes and recently welcoming JA’s Auto Service and Dollar General.

2023年8月1日 · One of the earliest towns established in this area of St. Johns County, was known as Mineral City. In 1912, mining engineers George Anson Pritchard and Henry Holland Buckman discovered valuable minerals in the sands of northeast St. Johns County.

The Mineral City Area Historical Society is located in the former mineral oil refinery in Mineral City. The building is now home to a museum, research library, and archives, as well as a variety of exhibits and displays.
