The daughter of J.S. and H.P. Bump, Huldah and her sister, Lavinia, were the only dwarves in a large family of average-sized people. Her stage name was Minnie Warren. She worked for P.T. Barnum with several other dwarves: "General Tom Thumb" (Charles Stratton), his wife, Lavinia (her sister), and Commodore George Washington Morrison Nutt.

Stratton (Tom Thumb), her real name being Huldah Peirce Bump. In 1863 she was engaged by Phineas T. Barnum, and assumed the name of Warren.
