2022年12月19日 · The Minox Model IIIS was introduced in 1954. The main difference from the Minox III was the PC flash nipple synchronized with the shutter. Serial Numbers: about 58500 (59500-147494 with a number of AII and AIII cameras upgraded to AIIIs by the factory post production and when serviced).

The Minox III-s was in production for 15 years, although progressively fewer were built throughout the 1960s. Nearly 4,500 late models made between 1962 and 1969 had the Minox B's neutral density rather than the earlier standard orange filter.

After World War II, production of the Minox II began in 1948 at a new company, Minox GmbH, in Giessen / Heuchelheim near Wetzlar, West Germany. The new camera very much resembled the original, but was made with a plastic chassis covered by an aluminum shell. This greatly reduced its weight and, to an extent, cost.

The Minox A/IIIs camera is used by George Lazenby in the movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969). While destroying Blofeld's lair atop Piz Gloria, he takes pictures of the locations of the girls that are sent out by Blofeld as biological warfare agents.

2005年10月9日 · Having a meter in the camera makes a huge difference to ease of use. The IIIs was in production the longest but the B outsold it by 2:1. The Minox AX camera is essentially a BL without the meter, in the LX series style/ergonomics fully mechanical but so few made that it is also rare and expensive.

The Minox-A is a small high-quality subminiature camera that is small enough to be hidden the palm of a hand. It was built by Minox in Germany between 1948 and 1969. It has the same size as the earlier Minox Riga and is therefore the smallest subminiature camera ever made by Minox.

The Minox camera is widely acknowledged by historians of photographic technologies as a brilliant innovation and a quantum leap in photographic technology. The prototype from 1936 later became known as the Ur Minox. From 1937 and up until 1942 the first Minox known as Riga was produced at the Valsts Elektrotechniska Fabrika (VEF) in Riga.

2022年12月14日 · Flash photography is not a problem, just choose from a multitude of good flash units made by Minox (not necessarily for this model). A flash sync cord can be used with the sync nipple of the camera and make sure you set your shutter speed (1/30 for bulb or cube), 1/125 for the Minox 8×11 electronic flash unit.
