Mio Hio (桧尾みお Hio Mio) is one of the antagonists in D.N.Angel's anime adaptation. She is the human form of an artwork who temporarily transfers to Daisuke Niwa's class.

Mio Hio (桧尾 みお, Hio Mio) is a character that only appears in the anime adaptation of D.N.Angel. A living voodoo doll created by Kei Hiwatari, Mio is given the appearance of a student Daisuke's age and given the false background of a transfer student from America.

2003年8月14日 · In Commissioner Hiwatari’s office in the police headquarters, he meets with Mio Hio. He warns her that her life will end soon unless she completes the ritual with Daisuke Niwa and the pendants . The commissioner gives her a small teardrop-shaped jewel, which can be used to push Riku Harada into giving Daisuke Niwa half of the pendant set.

Mio Hio first appeared in episode 14: A New Rival. Her body is not permanent. She is controlled by Kei Hiwatari, Satoshi Hiwatari's adoptive father. He told her that she must take the life of Daisuke Niwa in order to stay alive. But, in the end, she falls in love with Daisuke and gives both pendants over to Riku Harada.
