LDS missionaries are encouraged to be careful and select in their interactions with people they meet while serving. Generally speaking, they avoid physical affection beyond a warm handshake. Gratuitous hugs sent to demonstrate affection are not appropriate for missionaries.

2023年9月17日 · Missionaries don't give people hugs because of LOTS of reasons. Saying goodbye to people you won't see for 2 years is not one of them. For example, I served 2002 to 2004. I had 30hrs total travel time when I left Provo to get to Johannesburg South Africa. I think the longest flight was like 15hrs from London to Joburg.

2013年9月7日 · Missionaries aren't allowed to have sex or date.....so they shouldn't don't even hug or kiss. Some people become alcoholics.......so no one should ever drink alcohol...not one drop. Some people cheat on their spouse......so men and women not married to each other should never be alone together for any reason.
