Falconer was a Swedish power metal band [1] [2] from Mjölby, [3] formed in 1999 by the former guitarist of Mithotyn, Stefan Weinerhall. Falconer carried on many of the traditions set by Weinerhall's previous band and played a fusion style of power metal that utilizes folk instrumentation and melody to create a more medieval sound.

Mithotyn var ett svenskt viking metal-band som grundades 1992 av gitarristen Stefan Weinerhall och Christian Schütz som growlade och spelade basgitarr. Schütz lämnade dock bandet redan 1994 och ersattes av Rickard Martinsson. De övriga bandmedlemmarna var då gitarristen Karl Beckman och trummisen Karsten Larsson.
