I will be purchasing an Evo X next month and wanted to know the reliability in the model and Mitsubishi in general. I'm coming from owning Hondas all my life and currently own a 2011 Civic Si so this a pretty big move for me and I'm hoping they're decently reliable.

And I have always wanted to have it as a daily driver. however, after talking with some of my friends who generally know more about cars, they keep saying its a bad car. they say too many problems arise, it breaks easily, and its not reliable in the long run. is this generally true?

My AYC pump was showing signs of failure on my 2008 Evo X GSR in Winter 2022. The Tarmac/Gravel/Snow light would flash and then either disappear or work. Then Christmas that year someone hit me in a parking lot and it killed the pump for good. For clarity my pump has already been relocated into the trunk and has been since I bought the car in 2016.

2022年10月6日 · Also you don’t want to take the evo to college. The amounts of scratches from other ppls cars parking close to me made paranoid and park so far away. I end up using my motorcycle for better parking. Lastly, don’t get an evo at 17 yrs old. Your and your parents wallet and future driving record will thank you.

With rumors of them pulling out of the U.S. market for the past decade or so, I’ll take what we have now with the opportunity to become a major presence with a more diverse (and fun) lineup in the future over stories implying the return of an Evo was too little too late to save Mitsubishi from having to exit the market.
