There are plenty of things to see and to do at the park, including the Benedictine monastery in the middle of a small islet. You can hike, walk, stroll, and even bike around its many trails.

Veliko and Malo Jezero (large and small lake) are two saltwater lakes that are part of Mljet National Park. The lakes are interconnected by a narrow canal. They are also connected to the sea by a narrow passage. Above photo shows both lakes – the large lake (Veliko Jezero) is top one with it’s Melita Island and Benedictine Monastery on it.
