Led by FL-9 2033, ex NH 2059, the last "F" unit built by EMD, Metro North train 8813 is northbound at Bear Mountain Bridge. Today, the 2033 is part of the Railroad Museum of New England's collection. The "Last F Unit" shoves Metro North train 8824 south through Manitou. Metro North train 8837 departs Garrison.

The Unique FL9. The FL9 included many unusual design features. While based on the standard EMD F-series locomotives, the FL9 was eight feet longer than a stndard F-unit (and four feet longer than an FP9A) in order to handle a larger steam heater boiler and other extra equipment.
