2018年12月3日 · I have owned Remington 1100s and currently own an 1187. Great shooting guns BUT the cleaning and maintenance of them compared to a M-51 is a world of difference. The M-51 is a 10 minute cleaning--no O rings to fret. So--both guns are great shooters--the ease of cleaning and maintenance GREATLY favors the Ithaca M-51. JMHO of 50 years of it all.

That’s sounds like what might be offered at a shop that is running on 100% profit margin. $400 is more in line and a high condition 51 is a target for the Cult followers. I would sell gun myself before taking much less.

2018年3月24日 · Of all the dozens and dozens of shotguns in every gauge and action type I own, the 20 gauge Ithaca Model 51 is by far not only the easiest recoiling shotgun above a .410 I own, it has what I call the least "blast sensation" of any semi automatic I own. The best comparison I can make is that it's about like shooting a .22 rifle.
