2011年5月12日 · The model 6 has a 20" barrel ,the improved has a 24" barrel and a reciever milled from solid 1 piece and coil springs instead of leaf springs. The rear sights are differerent, the model 6 improved has a leaf type whereas the model 6 has a 1 piece sight in a dovetail,The serial #s are stamped on the bottom of the barrel ahead of the fore piece.

I was told that this rifle was used by a detective agency in the West Virginia coal mine riots in 1920, but that may be just a story. I didn't pay much attention to this rifle until I decided to remove that old finish from the stock.

Not as rare as the Model Six but hopefully worth a lot more than the $400 I paid back in 81. Often getting a decent price is tough without listing on Gunbroker for quality stuff.

Based on it's condition, it believe this one may precede them. The first four digits of the seven digit serial number are S249.

2013年7月17日 · I am a newbie and have my grandmother's Remington Arms 22 short, long, or long rifle. I believe it is a Model 12A Slide Action Rimfire. The serial number is RW 158349, the Pedersen's Patent dates are 1909-1912, and the soft butt plate says Remington UMC. Can anyone help me figure out the date of manufacture?

Either one I wouldn't touch with a 10-ft pole if you want a 44 Magnum Auto load then get a Desert Eagle for Pete's sake it's a proven design from a reliable company. As far as 44 magnum revolvers go again Smith & Wesson Ruger or even Colt if czusa has all the bugs worked out of them.

2024年11月7日 · The model 69 is the L frame but only 5 rounds. At 34 ounces they are easy to carry but heavy enough to tame the power of the 44mag. If living in Alaska or going off grid in known grizzly areas, I would opt for a 6 round gun. But today, I would go for the smaller model 69 or even the 429.
