Reddit user foxbone posted the mockup on the official PlayStation subreddit. Foxbone made it with an unnamed friend, and it looks amazing. The design is clearly inspired by the Nintendo Switch, featuring a tablet-like screen.

I think a modern PSP would be incredible, this would be great, release it in the same colours as the new PS5 sideplates coming out too and it’s a winner.

There’s an official tool called CustomThemeConverter, you just resize some pictures to the correct resolution and assign them to replace menu icons. It’s fairly easy to do but time consuming, and you need a decent image editing software. The official tool creates stationary .ptf themes only, if you want dynamic .ctf themes it’s more effort.
