Mount Lebanon was the spiritual center of the Shaker community. It was inhabited by Shakers continuously until 1947. At its peak in the mid-nineteenth century, it encompassed over one hundred thirty buildings and six thousand acres of land.

The Mount Lebanon site is home to the Darrow School at 110 Shaker Road and Tannery Pond Concerts in the summer. And the grounds and trails at the Historic Mount Lebanon Site are free and open to the public year-round.
