O Scale Freight Car Guide: MOW Equipment
I have several MoW cars, mostly MTH and K-Line. The issue for me is I model the PRR in the late 1940s when all Pennsy's MoW cars were painted gray with black lettering. Unfortunately for me, nearly all PRR O scale MoW cars are painted yellow, a color that was not used until 1953. Right now I'm looking for a gray paint and decals that closely matches what the …
Re: Scratchbuilt O scale convertible 32 foot MOW car
Scratchbuilt O scale convertible 32 foot MOW low side gondola car This is an example of one of a series of O scale convertible 32 foot MOW cars that will be used with a Lionel Burro crane for maintenance of way duties. My first attemp at kitbashing a RR car
After seeing some of the members kitbashing to make MOW cars and conversing back and forth w/ RATTLER21, who gave me some tips and sent some pix of MOW cars. I decided to try my hands at kitbashing a RR car. This car isn't any car that I've seen, it's my take on a MOW car. I used a Lionel Lines Irvington passenger car. Re: MOW, They get Little Respect or Recognition
I have some photos from the Rocky Mountaineer ride I took in May of some MOW equipment on the CP transcon somewhere near Kamloops. I'll post them when I get home from work. MOW equipment doesn't get a lot of attention, but it is such an important aspect of railroad operations.

A great issue as always, but I especially liked Ed Boyle article on his 30th anniversary with the magazine. Loved the photos that accompanied the article, especially the younger pic if Ed Eric Siegel's review on the Lionel O scale mow cars was also terrific as are all of Eric's reviews. They are terrific additions to any layout. Here's my Santa Fe versions: Keep up the good work guys.
