Here you can find everything needed to get MPlayer up and running. The recommended way to install MPlayer is to compile from current SVN source. Look at the unofficial packages section of our projects page if you do not wish to compile from source and/or are looking for packages that may be more tightly integrated with your platform.

2021年5月28日 · MPlayer 1.2.1 is a bugfix release from the 1.2 branch. If you're using MPlayer 1.2 you are encouraged to upgrade. MPlayer 1.2.1 fixes many crashes with fuzzed files, squashes many bugs and includes some compatibility enhancements. A lot of bugs are fixed also in FFmpeg, you can check their changelog for details.

The manual page for MPlayer and MEncoder describes all available command line options and how to control MPlayer with the keyboard. It is also regenerated nightly from the Subversion HEAD version of MPlayer.

MPlayer can play files from the network, using the HTTP, FTP, MMS or RTSP/RTP protocol. Playing works simply by passing the URL on the command line. MPlayer honors the http_proxy environment variable, using a proxy if available. Proxies can also be forced: mplayer http_proxy://proxy.micorsops.com:3128/http://micorsops.com:80/stream.asf
