The 2S19 Msta-S is a 152.4 mm self-propelled howitzer designed and manufactured by Uraltransmash in the Soviet Union and later in Russia, which entered service in 1989 as the successor to the 2S3 Akatsiya.

The MSTA-S, also known as 2S19, is a 152mm highly mobile self-propelled howitzer designed to engage stationary and moving targets deep inside enemy territory. The variety of targets include manpower, light and heavy armored vehicles, field fortifications, air defense sites and command and control stations.

The 2S19 is a late Cold War era tracked 152mm self-propelled howitzer of Soviet origin. Development started in the 1980's and it was accepted for service in 1989. The 2S19 was developed to replace the older 2S3 and 2S5 self-propelled howitzers. The 2S19 is nicknamed Msta, which is a river in Russia.
