Most of the traverse of the Towers can be done on rock with possibility to shortcut on solid snow. The bypass on the right side of the 3rd tower still has enough snow to be used but we found it easier to climb the chimney and follow the ridge to the top of the Patterson Couloir.

Once the standard route on Robson, the south face has been replaced by the Kain face. With a 3,000-foot brush-bash followed by thousands of feet of talus, passing directly under two seracs, and a final, short but crevassed glacier crossing, the route seems to have little appeal.

2012年9月30日 · Once at the Patterson couloir there is the option of taking this route straight up to the dome but you expose your self to unnecessary rock fall hazard. By traversing east 500 meters you can gain a spur (4th class) just to the east that brings you right up to the Robson Resplendent Col.

At elevation of just under 13,000 feet the tallest peak in Canadian Rockies – Mt. Robson does not need much introduction. Rising a shear 3000 vertical meters above the Yellowhead Highway this peak does not seem to fit in this mountain range regardless how you look at it.
