2020年2月5日 · Mine had JJ's and a 12AT7 in the PI but I switched to some old (not vintage) Mullard EL84s and Chinese/Ruby 12AX7's all around except a Sovtek LPS in the PI and like it better. I know it says to use a 12AT7 in the PI but I like the extra punch and gain of the 12AX7.

2010年7月9日 · The amp is the Kingsley Tonebaron. But the builder has recommended a Mullard 12AT7 for the PI in the past. It's a mid to high gain amp, overdrive channel first then clean channel, most people play them in series. So, inevitably, players want tubes that can tame the gain channel driving into the clean. That's why I had the Mullard in there.
