The Family Support Division. The Family Support Division is responsible for administering public assistance programs including SNAP, Temporary Assistance, Medicaid, childcare subsidy, child support, blind services and other basic needs.

When you are approved for SNAP, your Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card will be sent to the home address you listed, within 5-7 business days.

Update Your Address. When you are due for your annual renewal, FSD will send you a letter in the mail. The Annual Renewal Timeline may help you know when to expect this information. If FSD has enough information to check your eligibility, your letter will say that your coverage is renewed and there is nothing else you need to do.

What type of verification document do I submit? The Family Support Division (FSD) may ask you to verify your information in order to help you get the benefits you need. Depending on what benefit you are applying for/maintaining, you may need different types of verifying documents.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offers a monthly benefit to help those in need buy food and food products. Other programs, like the Food Distribution Program and Women, Infant and Children (WIC), may also be able to help. If you need help with food immediately, please reach out to your local food bank.
