Few tips I've gathered fighting Myrkul - hope it helps
Pally started smiting Myrkul (I made noob mistakes by forgetting to upcast smite so used a few level 1 smites instead of level 2/3), tanked a couple of Myrkul hits. Couple of party members got frightened and needed Shart's emergency calm emotions (should have started with that looking back), Aylin landed far side of Myrkul but got hit down to ...
Myrkul- how exactly can I kill him? : r/BaldursGate3 - Reddit
Hey guys! As much as I’ve enjoyed the game so far, I’ve come to face the boss- Myrkul. I have completely no idea how to approach this problem (I don’t play the game to fight but to just enjoy the play through overall lol). I’m playing on the easiest difficulty level so I would be glad to know how to kill him without my whole party dying.
Any tips for the Myrkul fight? Tactician mode. : r/BaldursGate3
If you make Kethric suicide you will have to fight Myrkul AND everything else at the same time, while being frightened by Myrkul and necromites spawning all over the place. It can get out of hand quickly. Instead, you can just clear up the room, then take down Kethric, and then nuke Myrkul before necromites actually spawn.
The Myrkul fight is completely unbalanced in honor mode.
I soloed myrkul honor mode before the new patch so idk if they buffed him. Basically, kill mindflayer turn 1. Hop onto the ledge the mindflayer was on. Kill ketheric with help of aylin (use scratch to free aylin). myrkul pops out and now u use darkness arrows once every 3 turns to keep him permanently blinded. He won't cast gaze of the dead on u.

"Take advantage of the fact that Myrkul can't move." This is the maker or breaker of the fight, and reading that in the post above is how I finally won. Unfortunately, with a fighter, cleric, paladin, and ranger, I didn't have the best AoE spells like call lightening, hunger of Hadar, cloud of daggers, etc. What won the fight for me was fog cloud.
Any quick workaround to kill Myrkul? : r/BaldursGate3 - Reddit
Once the darkness ran out on shadowheart I ended up having another scroll to create a similar effect. Took like 30 minutes but I eventually got him dead ;-;. The blindness on myrkul prevents him from getting opportunity attacks so you can run …
I need strategic advice on how to beat Myrkul (tactitian)
Casting darknes or Hunger of Hadar (which I know you don't have) on the "back half of Myrkul's circle" blinds him. Helps if you can't drop his staff, and any ranged attack he makes. Destroy any pods that will keep spawning in the room. After a few turns they turn into sacrificial mages. He can absorb the mages to recharge health.
How am I supposed to beat myrkul on tactician? : r/BaldursGate3
Parking elemental summons at ladder base - Myrkul spawns the eggs on the platform. Blinding him only works intermittently. You got to stay at it. Myrkul also hides those eggs apparently. Very difficult to get to sometimes. One person said to command Myrkul to drop his weapon. Couldn't command him cause Myrkul is undead.
tips for hm myrkul? cheese welcomed! : r/BaldursGate3 - Reddit
Take out the Mindflayer, release Aylin, Misty Step to the Necromites on the ledge and take them out. Put Darkness or Hunger of Hadar on Myrkul. One guy bone chills Myrkul(spell, Illmater arrows, or Doom Hammer). Wall of Fire can block the Necromites from getting to Myrkul, but if he's bone chilled, it doesn't matter.
Thorm/Myrkul fight is a nightmare on honor mode! : …
Myrkul can actually retaliate only once per turn with Gaze of the Dead. If you can get a summon to hit him, he will waste it on them. Whatever happens, make sure you aren't casting a spell with multiple instances as your first attack to land (think scorching ray), cause they will get knocked out of them after casting a few.
